Can't go wrong with kawaiistacie's personalities mod, the personality types come from the Myers and Briggs study and if you leave your Sims alone for a few sim hours children+ will develop one of the 16 personality traits based on the traits they already have all on their own(they'll get a moodlet letting you know how much time you have to choose a trait before one is assigned if you'd rather choose the trait).
